The 2023 tournament season got kicked off at the Nashua River in Groton and with a cold start with temps in the upper 40’s seven teams turned out for this one. While most teams had trouble catching fish two teams had success meeting their limits.
First place went to the familiar team of Campisi and Goss with a total total weight of 15.37 lbs and capturing the largemouth lunker of the day with a 3.07 lber.
New comers to the club, Nick Harris and Doug Ferreia tanked out on this one but they will become heavy competitors in upcoming tournaments. Everyone has those days, better getting it overwith in the beginning.
